DIRECTIONS FOR USE: DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Given orally at the recommended dose rate of 1mL/100kg bodyweight, the 6mL syringe is capable of treating horses of weight up to 600kg. Screw the plastic adjuster out to the weight of the horse, remove the cap and insert the syringe into the side of the horse’s mouth between the front and back teeth and deposit the paste towards the back of the tongue by depressing the plunger quickly as far as it will go. Immediately raise the horses head for a few seconds to ensure the full dose has been accepted.
Develop a Regular Treatment program: All horses should be subject to regular worming to maintain good health and peak condition. Particular attention should be given to young horses and mares. Foals should be treated initially at six to eight weeks of age and this treatment repeated regularly as required. Do read up about Faecal Egg Counts, we encourage strategic worming practices.
Prazivec Oral Paste for Horses is well suited to be the major product in your equine parasite control program. It is highly effective in the treatment and control of most types of equine helminths including tapeworms, grastrointestinal, cutaneous and pulmonary nematodes and bots of horses of any age. With a regular treatment program the chances of verminous arteritis and colic caused by S. vulgaris will be reduced. Consult a veterinarian when developing a worm control program to suit your needs.

Ease of use:
Thanks to the easy trigger applicator, accurate dose measure and apple flavouring, administering the drench is an easy manoeuvre and because of the thixotropic properties in the semi fluid paste, Prazivec bonds with the saliva in the horses mouth. (Horses don't spit it out). Administering the correct dose with no wastage is easy.
A feature of Prazivec is the applicator or drench utensil. The drench is easily administered with one hand using the drench trigger. The horses do not resist the drench due to the apple flavouring. An accurate measure of the appropriate dosage depending on the size of the horse is easily achieved.
"We have been using Prazivec Oral Horse Paste regularly since 2007. Combining drenching with good pasture / anmimal management practices and doing regular faecal egg counts, has enabled us to have a very successful maintenance programme. It has also resulted in using less drench with more efficiency and greater results. Making use of the Prazivec's client benefit of faecal egg counts at a reasonable cost has meant that we can be accurate and drench only those horses when required. This is a great tool for equine health and it saves us money. We have also found the tubes with the excellent trigger applicator makes for an easy time drenching the mares and foals."

- Prazivec is a quality drench with the anthlemintics Ivermectin and Praziquantal in a concentrated dose.
- The drench is thixotropic - when dosed, the ingredients bind with the saliva in the horses mouth and the horse will not spit it out, therefore you know the full dose has been consumed - an important factor to prevent resistance.
- Is manufactured in Australia to veterinary requirements
- Is apple flavoured
- Unique applicator ensures ease of use
